RetreatLoop is a global community and marketplace designed to connect people with meaningful retreats, experiences, practitioners, venues, and each other.
The idea is simple: make it easier to discover the right people and experiences in one trusted place — whether that's a weeklong retreat in another country, a local workshop, a practitioner you connect with, or a venue where something meaningful can be created.
At its heart, RetreatLoop is about real people, real experiences, and real connection.
The Loop connects the people, experiences, and places that make retreats possible.
When a practitioner is part of an experience, RetreatLoop can connect those profiles so travelers can discover everyone involved — and follow those connections in both directions. For example, a retreat listing might feature the yoga teacher, sound healer, or guide taking part in the experience, while that practitioner's profile can connect back to the retreat.
This creates natural cross-discovery and gives everyone involved more visibility through genuine collaboration. Connections are based on real relationships, not paid placement.
Practitioners confirm their participation before a connection appears publicly, helping keep the Loop trustworthy and transparent.
As the Loop grows, retreat centers and venues will be connected in the same way — allowing travelers to move naturally between an experience, the people behind it, and the places that hold it.
Yes.
There is no membership fee to join RetreatLoop, create a profile, or become part of the community.
We want people to be able to participate without paying simply for the privilege of being visible.
No. Practitioners never pay to be listed on RetreatLoop.
Coaches, healers, facilitators, therapists, guides, instructors, artists, speakers, and other practitioners can create profiles and be discovered by the RetreatLoop community without paying a listing or membership fee.
This is intentional. RetreatLoop was built to create connection and opportunity — not another pay-to-play directory.
We believe in being completely transparent about this.
RetreatLoop primarily makes money when a successful booking happens through the platform.
For eligible paid retreats, experiences, and venue bookings, RetreatLoop receives a commission from the host or venue when RetreatLoop helps generate the booking.
That means our success is connected to the success of the people using the platform. We don't want to make money simply because someone creates a profile — we want to create actual value first.
Our standard commission is 10% on eligible bookings generated through RetreatLoop.
For early hosts and venues joining the platform, RetreatLoop may offer introductory incentives, including commission-free bookings, as we build the founding community.
Any applicable commission will always be clearly communicated. We don't believe in surprise fees.
We want RetreatLoop to support community gatherings and smaller experiences — not make them harder to offer.
If an event or experience is priced under $100, RetreatLoop does not collect a commission.
We don't want a facilitator hosting a small workshop, circle, class, meetup, or community event worrying about giving a portion of a modest ticket price to us.
Those experiences help create community, and we want more of them.
RetreatLoop does not collect a commission on free or donation-only events.
Community connection has value even when no traditional transaction takes place.
No. Featured placement on RetreatLoop cannot be purchased.
Practitioners, venues, retreats, and experiences may be featured or rotated throughout the platform based on things such as relevance, matching, location, category, community interest, and opportunities to help people discover different members of the RetreatLoop community.
We don't want the people with the largest advertising budgets automatically receiving the most visibility.
Being featured means RetreatLoop is helping people discover you. It does not mean you paid to be there.
Badges are designed to provide additional context and trust — not to create a paid hierarchy.
Badges cannot be purchased. They are earned.
Depending on the badge, it may indicate that a practitioner, venue, retreat, or experience has been personally experienced or vetted by the RetreatLoop founder, recommended or vetted through a RetreatLoop Ambassador, or has another verified relationship with the RetreatLoop community.
As RetreatLoop grows, additional badges may be introduced, but their purpose will remain the same: to give people useful, transparent information about the connection behind a listing.
RetreatLoop Ambassadors are trusted members of our growing global community who help us discover and connect exceptional people, places, and experiences around the world.
No single person can personally experience every retreat, meet every practitioner, or visit every venue. Ambassadors extend RetreatLoop's human vetting and trust into regions and communities the founder can't personally reach — while keeping human connection and trust at the center. They aren't simply influencers or paid advertisers.
An Ambassador might discover practitioners, retreat leaders, experiences, or retreat centers; make introductions; and personally recommend people and places they genuinely know. In this way they help create connections within the Loop and support the cross-discovery that makes the whole community stronger.
Those relationships can be reflected through appropriate RetreatLoop badges — including an Ambassador recommendation — so visitors understand where a connection comes from. The goal isn't a traditional review system. It's to build a trusted network of real people who help expand the Loop.
No.
A RetreatLoop badge or Ambassador recommendation is not advertising and cannot be purchased. An Ambassador recommendation never means a practitioner paid for visibility or a badge.
Practitioners remain free to join, and recommendations are based on genuine relationships and firsthand knowledge — not payment.
We believe trust loses its meaning when someone can simply pay for it.
They can — through referrals, not recommendations.
When an Ambassador introduces a retreat host, experience, or venue and that introduction leads to a qualifying paid booking through RetreatLoop, the Ambassador may earn referral-based compensation. This works alongside our existing model: RetreatLoop earns a commission on qualifying bookings, and an Ambassador may receive an agreed share of that commission for qualifying business they introduced.
Importantly, this compensation does not determine who receives an Ambassador recommendation, who gets featured, how people appear in search or discovery, or a practitioner's visibility. Those are never for sale.
Practitioners remain free to join, and referral compensation is kept entirely separate from recommendations, badges, and discovery. The specific terms are covered in the Ambassador agreement and onboarding.
Practitioners are an essential part of the RetreatLoop ecosystem.
A retreat leader may discover a facilitator for an upcoming retreat. A venue may connect with a practitioner who can bring programming to their space. A traveler may discover someone whose work resonates with them. A practitioner may eventually host an experience of their own.
Those relationships make the entire community stronger.
Not every connection needs to generate revenue for RetreatLoop to be valuable.
No.
Wellness is part of RetreatLoop, but the vision is much broader.
RetreatLoop can include wellness, yoga, adventure, creativity, culture, spirituality, personal development, food, fitness, nature, professional development, corporate retreats, women's and men's gatherings, community experiences, and many other ways people intentionally come together.
If it creates meaningful connection or experience, there may be a place for it in the Loop.
RetreatLoop brings together several interconnected communities: travelers and retreat guests; retreat leaders and hosts; practitioners, facilitators, coaches, guides, and service providers; retreat centers and venues; experience hosts; organizations and communities; collaborators and Ambassadors.
You don't have to fit neatly into only one category. Many members of the RetreatLoop community will naturally belong to several.
Trust matters.
RetreatLoop is being built with human connection and thoughtful community oversight at its core. Some people and businesses are personally known or experienced by the founder, while others may come through trusted RetreatLoop Ambassadors, recommendations, or the broader community.
Not every listing has been personally vetted, which is exactly why our badges exist — to clearly distinguish those relationships rather than implying an endorsement that hasn't occurred.
As the global community grows, our processes will grow with it, but the goal will remain the same: quality, transparency, and trust over simply having the largest number of listings.
No.
A RetreatLoop listing is not automatically a personal endorsement.
Where a practitioner, venue, retreat, or experience has been personally experienced by the founder, recommended through an Ambassador, or has another verified RetreatLoop relationship, we aim to make that distinction clear through badges.
Transparency matters, and we don't want to imply a personal relationship or endorsement where one doesn't exist.
Because finding the right retreat, practitioner, venue, or experience is still surprisingly fragmented.
Great people are scattered across websites, social media accounts, Facebook groups, recommendations, WhatsApp conversations, and word of mouth.
RetreatLoop is meant to bring those worlds together.
But the bigger vision isn't simply to build another booking website.
It's to build a global community where meaningful connections lead to meaningful experiences.
It means we don't view everyone as a transaction.
Sometimes the right outcome is a booking. Sometimes it's an introduction. Sometimes a practitioner finds a retreat leader to collaborate with. Sometimes a venue discovers someone who can bring an incredible experience to its property. Sometimes a traveler simply finds their people.
The Loop works when those connections keep creating more connections.
Integrity. Trust. Transparency. Connection. Community.
Those aren't marketing words for us — they are intended to guide how RetreatLoop operates.
That means being clear about how we make money, not charging people simply because we can, supporting smaller community experiences, refusing to sell trust or featured placement, distinguishing genuine relationships from ordinary listings, and making decisions that protect the integrity of the community as RetreatLoop grows.
There isn't one.
RetreatLoop is a business, and we intend for it to become a sustainable one. But we believe a business can make money because it creates value, rather than extracting money from everyone who wants to participate.
Practitioners don't pay to be listed. Featured placement and badges can't be purchased. Events under $100 aren't commissioned. Free and donation-only events aren't commissioned. For eligible larger bookings generated through RetreatLoop, we earn a commission.
That's the model.
Create connection first. Create value. Grow the community. And when RetreatLoop helps generate meaningful business, RetreatLoop participates in that success.
We're building RetreatLoop around something that shouldn't be complicated:
People deserve to know who they're doing business with, how the platform they're using makes money, and whose interests are being served.
Our goal is to build a global community where travelers, hosts, practitioners, venues, and collaborators can find one another with greater trust and less noise.
We won't get everything perfect from day one. RetreatLoop will evolve as the community grows.
But the foundation won't change:
Lead with integrity. Be transparent. Never sell trust. Create real value. Keep human connection at the center.
