Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 2026
A quick note: Retreat Loop is in early beta. We're building carefully and we'd love your feedback. This policy explains, in plain language, what information we collect and how we handle it. If anything is unclear, just email us — we're happy to help.

This Privacy Policy describes how Retreat Loop ("Retreat Loop," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our website and services. By using Retreat Loop, you agree to the practices described here.

What information we collect

We collect information that you choose to give us, and a small amount of technical information that helps the site work. This can include:

  • Account information — your name and email address when you create an account or sign in.
  • Profile and listing information — details you add to your practitioner, venue, host, or retreat profile, such as your business name, location, bio, specialties, offerings, languages, pricing, amenities, and other descriptions.
  • Photos and media — images or videos you upload for your profile or listings.
  • Messages and form submissions — information you send through our forms, inquiries, intake questionnaires, or contact requests.
  • Technical information — basic data your browser provides automatically, such as your device and browser type, and general usage information that helps us keep the site running and improve it.

Why we collect this information

We collect information so we can operate Retreat Loop and connect the right people with each other. Specifically, we use it to:

  • Create and manage your account and profile.
  • Show published listings and profiles in our public directory and search.
  • Help retreat travelers, hosts, venues, and practitioners find and connect with one another.
  • Respond to your inquiries, questions, and support requests.
  • Keep the platform secure, reliable, and improving over time.

How information is used

We use the information you provide to deliver the features you'd expect from a marketplace: publishing your listing when you choose to, matching you with relevant opportunities, and letting interested parties reach out. We may also use aggregated, non-identifying information to understand how the site is used and to make it better. We do not sell your personal information.

Public profile information versus private account information

Some information is meant to be seen publicly, and some is kept private:

  • Public information — when you publish a profile or listing, the details you include (such as your display name, business name, location, bio, specialties, photos, and offerings) are visible to anyone browsing Retreat Loop. You control this: profiles start unpublished, and you choose when to publish and can unpublish at any time.
  • Private information — your account email, login details, unpublished drafts, and private messages or form submissions are not shown in the public directory. We use them to operate your account and to follow up with you.

Data security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information, including using trusted infrastructure providers and standard security practices. However, no method of storing or transmitting data over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please use a strong, unique password and let us know right away if you believe your account has been compromised.

Your rights — updating or deleting your information

You're in control of your information. You can review and update most of your profile and account details directly in the app at any time, and you can unpublish a profile to remove it from the public directory. If you'd like to update, export, or permanently delete your information, email us at retreatloop@gmail.com and we'll take care of it.

Cookies and analytics

Retreat Loop may use cookies or similar technologies to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences. We may also use analytics tools — such as Google Analytics or similar services — now or in the future to understand how people use the site so we can improve it. These tools may collect standard usage information like pages visited and general location. They help us build a better product; they are not used to sell your personal information.

Third-party services

We rely on a small number of trusted third-party services to run Retreat Loop. These may include:

  • Supabase — for our database, authentication, and file storage.
  • Netlify — for website hosting and delivery.
  • Google services — for example, form processing and analytics.
  • Email providers — to send and receive messages related to your account and inquiries.
  • Payment processors — if and when payments are introduced, to handle transactions securely.

These providers process information on our behalf and are expected to protect it. Their own privacy practices govern how they handle data within their systems.

Changes to this policy

As Retreat Loop grows out of beta and adds features, we may update this Privacy Policy. When we make meaningful changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Your continued use of Retreat Loop after an update means you accept the revised policy.

We believe trust is earned. We'll continue to be transparent about how we collect, use, and protect your information as Retreat Loop grows.
