By accessing or using RetreatLoop ("RetreatLoop," "we," "us," or "our"), you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the platform. If you're using RetreatLoop on behalf of a business or organization, you're agreeing to these terms on its behalf.
RetreatLoop is an online marketplace that helps connect people in the retreat community — retreat travelers, retreat hosts and leaders, retreat centers and venues, and practitioners and service providers. We provide the platform where these connections happen. Please read the marketplace disclaimer in section 14 carefully, as it's central to how RetreatLoop works.
To use certain features, you'll create an account. You agree to provide accurate information, keep your login credentials secure, and let us know if you suspect unauthorized use of your account. You're responsible for the activity that happens under your account. One account is meant for one person or business; you can hold multiple roles (for example, both traveler and practitioner) under a single login.

If you publish a profile, venue, or retreat listing, you're responsible for making sure it's accurate, current, and not misleading. This includes details like pricing, availability, capacity, credentials, amenities, and descriptions. Keeping your listing accurate helps everyone in the community make good decisions — and it's a condition of using RetreatLoop.
RetreatLoop is a community built on trust. You agree not to post content or behave in ways that are unlawful, fraudulent, harassing, hateful, discriminatory, or that infringe on others' rights. We may remove content or take action on accounts that violate these standards.
The RetreatLoop name, logo, website, and design are owned by RetreatLoop and protected by applicable laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or use our branding or platform design without permission. These terms don't grant you any ownership of RetreatLoop's intellectual property.
You keep ownership of the content you create and upload — your text, photos, videos, and listing details. By posting content on RetreatLoop, you grant us a non-exclusive license to display, host, and share that content on the platform for the purpose of operating and promoting RetreatLoop and its services. You're responsible for making sure you have the rights to any content you upload, and that it doesn't violate anyone else's rights.
RetreatLoop provides a marketplace where users can discover, inquire about, book, and in some cases pay for retreats, experiences, venues, and services offered by independent providers. RetreatLoop may facilitate the booking, payment, and related communications through the platform.
The underlying service is provided by the host, venue, practitioner, or other provider identified in the listing. Unless specifically stated otherwise, RetreatLoop is not the organizer, operator, employer, or provider of that retreat, stay, experience, or service. The provider is responsible for delivering the offering described in the listing, and the traveler or customer is responsible for reviewing the listing and deciding whether to book.
RetreatLoop is free to join. There is no upfront fee to create a profile or publish a listing, and there are no monthly or listing fees. Our business model is commission-based: RetreatLoop earns a commission only when a qualifying booking is completed through the platform.
Standard commission. RetreatLoop's standard platform commission is currently 10% of qualifying bookings completed through RetreatLoop. The applicable commission is disclosed to the provider before a listing is published or activated, or before bookings are accepted. We may change our commission structure prospectively in the future with reasonable advance notice. Any change applies only going forward and will not retroactively affect bookings that were already confirmed under the prior terms.
Practitioners. Practitioner profiles are free. A practitioner does not owe a commission simply for having a profile on RetreatLoop. If a practitioner also publishes a bookable retreat, travel experience, workshop, event, or other commission-eligible offering, the applicable booking commission applies to that offering.
Hosts, venues, and other providers. Retreat hosts and leaders, venues and retreat centers, and other providers may create profiles and listings without an upfront listing fee. When a qualifying booking is completed through RetreatLoop, the applicable platform commission is charged. This applies broadly to bookable retreats, experiences, stays, and services offered through RetreatLoop as the platform grows.
Promotions and founding offers. From time to time RetreatLoop may offer founding-member promotions, introductory periods, reduced or waived commissions, or other promotional pricing. Any promotional commission arrangement is governed by the specific offer communicated to that provider. Standard commission terms apply once the promotional period or benefit ends.
Low-cost and donation-based experiences. As a current policy, donation-only experiences and experiences priced below $100 are exempt from platform commission. RetreatLoop may modify these exemptions prospectively.
Payment processing. Bookings are intended to be processed through RetreatLoop's integrated payment system using third-party payment processors. RetreatLoop's platform commission is separate from other costs that may apply to a booking, such as third-party payment-processing fees, applicable taxes, currency-conversion fees, and amounts related to refunds or chargebacks. Unless we specifically state otherwise, the platform commission does not include third-party payment-processing fees, which are borne by the provider. We'll always aim to be transparent about fees, and as the platform grows, payment features and terms may evolve, and we'll update these terms accordingly.
Cancellation and refund terms for a specific booking are set out in the applicable listing and disclosed at the time of booking. This section explains how RetreatLoop's commission is treated when a completed booking is later cancelled, refunded, or disputed.
Note that third-party payment-processing fees already incurred on a transaction may not be recoverable even when a booking is refunded, depending on the payment processor's policies.
RetreatLoop invests in connecting travelers with providers and in the tools that make bookings possible. If a traveler or customer discovers or first connects with a provider or offering through RetreatLoop, the provider agrees not to intentionally redirect that customer off the platform in order to avoid RetreatLoop's applicable commission or payment process for that booking.
This is meant to be reasonable and narrow. It does not apply to a provider's pre-existing customers or to independent relationships that did not originate through RetreatLoop, and it does not prevent providers from working with their own contacts or marketing their offerings elsewhere. It simply asks that bookings that come to a provider through RetreatLoop be completed through RetreatLoop.
To keep RetreatLoop trustworthy, we reserve the right — at our discretion — to remove or decline any listing or content, and to suspend or terminate any account that violates these terms, harms other users, or is used in a way that is unlawful or inconsistent with the spirit of the platform. Where reasonable, we'll try to let you know.

RetreatLoop is provided "as is" and "as available," especially during beta. We facilitate connections, bookings, and payments, but do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any listing, booking, or connection will lead to a particular result. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of any kind regarding the platform and the services offered by third parties through it.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, RetreatLoop and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your use of the platform, your reliance on any listing or profile, or any interaction, booking, or transaction between users. RetreatLoop's role is to operate the marketplace and, where applicable, facilitate bookings and payments; responsibility for the services themselves rests with the providers who offer them and the users who choose them.
RetreatLoop relies on third-party providers (such as hosting, database, analytics, email, and payment processing) to operate. We're not responsible for the availability or actions of those third parties, and links to external sites are provided for convenience only.
We may update these Terms of Service as RetreatLoop evolves. When we make meaningful changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. By continuing to use RetreatLoop after an update, you accept the revised terms.
